Hi Everybody,
It looks like this has happened to other kitties, I see quite a few posts to this tune..
I usually run Tater with "Da Bird" on the string at night before bedtime so that she isn't such a stinker while I'm trying to get some shut-eye. She has eaten little pieces of string before, and also the tails off of her mouse toys in the past.
I forgot to put the toy away last night, and this morning I found the stick with about 2" of string at the end. I found the feather attachment, but the rest of the string is gone. it was about a foot and a half of string, considering that she has chewed it in half before and I have had to reattach it by tying it back together. I have looked everywhere and cannot find the string, so I'm pretty sure it is in Tater's tummy.
Called the vet, they told me to give her hairball remedy. I'm keeping an eye on her for vomiting, and I'm trying not to freak out.
She is a rumpy manx with occasional elimination issues (possibly a little Manx Syndrome).. So I'm especially nervous.
Anybody got any other ideas? I saw something about pumpkin, but I don't want to upset her guts even more if I've given her hairball remedy also.
Thanks,
Terrible Kitty Mama
