Hello, my cat honey is currently giving birth..she has had 2 so far....the last one was born at 10:40 i can still feel movement inside her...whats the average time difference between kittens and when should i worry?

She seems very content and is cleaning and caring for them, nothing has distressed her...also she hasnt made a sound !!! not even when they was coming out !!!

Any birthing tips would be appreciated thank you :)

Any update? My vet told me that if it went more than two hours or if the queen was too tired to push, then to call him or bring her in ASAP.

Any news? Do you have a vet you can call? Our vet has an after hours number you call and she calls right back to answer any questions.

Yeah, if she is struggling or in distress, time goes and nothing happens, you must in.

But if she is contend and relaxed, there is no hurry. They can deliver several times [hours!] apart, somedays even days apart.

You must watch tightly of course, and be prepared, but, as said.  If it seems OK, presume it is ok.

Forumists who did phoned vet in such situations, did got "always" this advice.

I have only once heard of an exception, from an emergency vet.  But my guess is, as emergency vet she was used to do - emergency surgery every time somebody comes in.  At it was what she could do, so she did it.   "if the customer comes in and wish an operation, there shall be operation as I can do it and Im good at it"

Good luck!   *vibes*

Edit:  Typo!

If the mating time (the time the queen & sire spent together mating) was a long one, there can indeed be even couple of days between the kittens being born as they can be different age (or even different fathers, rare'ish' but happens).

If the queen seems even a bit lethargic--> off to the vet asap!
