Ok Hobo really seems to not like pâté canned foods. So could you all please give me some brands that are sliced, chunks and whatever else. Last two days he refused NV Venison and BG turkey. Tonight I gave him Earthborn Holistic chicken and he ate it. He really likes that one so I may end up ordering a case online.
Please ang help for brands! Thanks!

You replied to my recent thread here regarding these same kinds of foods. I'm currently trying some of them with Halo. The ones I know he likes are Wellness sliced in cans and Soulistic pouches (but only two non fish flavors-both chicken).

You might try the Nutro Max 3.5 ounce cans.  Mine love the duck and venison formulas as well as the chicken formula. The 3.5oz cans of Nutro Natural Choice might be worth a try as well.  Mine love all of those formulas.  There will be other suggestions from other folks too.

Am I right in thinking you want grain free suggestions?  It seems to me there is another thread on this same subject, isn't there?  It's the one Robin was talking about.  This one:

http://www.thecatsite.com/t/242162/suggestions-for-high-quality-slices-with-gravy-canned

I ordered some of the Weruva and BFF, since all mine are seemingly tired of Soulistic, and they also HATE pate.  My order should arrive tomorrow, and I can't wait ( hope my babied don't starve in the meantime...had to try two different cans this morning, and still they hardly ate anything
)

Thank You! Is the Natural Choice grain free?

Yep, I would like to stick with grain free if I can. I did get some Authority just to see if he would like that even though it is not grain free.  That was a no go too. I hope they start to eat! What is BFF?

Some of the Nutro Max varieties I picked up at Petco on Sunday. We'll see what Halo thinks. That's the deciding factor. I want him to eat well, mostly grain free. And I need to start considering low potassium foods, because of his crf condition. But most of all, I want him to be happy, and keep eating.

BFF stands for something like "Best Feline Friends." I've seen it at two specialty pet food stores, including one I was at today for the first time. I have purchased it before, and it seems my cats liked it fine. However it seems like all flavors are tuna and something. And that can't be good as a regular thing.

He, he!

I went into a new to me specialty pet food store today, with a list of low potassium foods I wanted to try for Halo. They didn't have a single one of them.

So I bought a bunch of cans of grain free, new to us stuff for Halo and the 7 others to try. The first experiment resulted in one not eating at all, and one vomiting violently 3 times, all over my 90 year old oriental rug.

Sigh. This is why I stick to the same 5 brands for months and months. They will all eat those foods, and no puking.

But, I want to keep Halo going, so we'll keep trying.

My angels love Platefulls – they come in pouches and have chunks and gravy and Hobo will probably love the chicken ones it sounds like.  We buy the chicken one with giblets in the green pouch and the chicken and chicken liver “indoor” one in the orange pouch.  Natural Balance makes them and best of all they are super healthy – and grain-free.  Would love to know if your guy Hobo likes them as much as my babies do!

He had a 3 oz.can of the turkey sliced Nutro Max last night. He liked it fine. It was a bit dry, but I usually add a little warm water to all my cats' foods. So no problem!

I really need to get to a pet store. I live so far away from the dang things. My friend might visit me next weekend and I asked her if she could bring about 24 cans up for me. 12 TOTW and 12 Earthborn Chicken. I wish pouches were bigger than 3oz. Fat boy has to have 5 ozs 2 times daily at least for his size.

I would try Soulistic too. Grain free, healthy and food is shredded. Good enough for ME to eat, (right).

I would like to order some off Amazon, but it doesn't say how many cans come in it. Anyone know?

You can get Soulistic at Petco. It is made by Weruva. Looks very much the same.

Halo will eat these two brands, but he's not exactly excited about them. Soulistic has two chicken flavors (one with pumpkin), but no turkey, or duck. They have lots of fish flavors, but my cats only get fish once a week.

I know, but my petco is an hour away and gas prices are getting high. We never go to the big towns unless we absoulutly have to. I thought it would be easier and simpler to order it.

Oh, I didn't think it would be so far to a Petco in NW Iowa. I love Iowa, by the way. One of the secret treasures in this country (and I've traveled 46 of the 50, and lived in a few). And Iowa people are the BEST!

I hope you can order a small amount, to sample.
