I have never used straw and if I get this KITTY TUBE it comes with a bed or with straw. Do cats like straw does it smell and do fleas or whatever hide in it? I figure a bed that comes with the kitty tube is good at least you can see things and it wont smell. I'm in the east weather is warming up and I have a friendly feral/stray that we have been feeding outside for about 9 years. He was TNR and had abcesses etc but hes looking so much better and gave him his meds. I just wanted something nice for him on rainy days even though he probably goes under the deck but at least he'll have an option as long as there are no raccoons that come snooping. Need more info on straw!

Thanks

Absolutely, use straw  The bed will become soiled, wet and moldy. That would be no good. Straw will dry out easily and you can easily replace it IF it gets too wet. I doubt it with warmer temps coming. Fleas will prefer the "bed" or "pillow" over the straw anyday. ;):wavey:
