The cat hair battle

Could someone help me please?  Is there a spray in the market to help cat hairs NOT to attach themselves to clothes?  In the closet my clothes look nice.  Take them out put them on, walk 60 feet to the front door and it looks like I have dragged the clothes through a cat-hair producing machine.  I only have one cat, but she is long-haired.  Any advice, help, condolences, recipes for cat stew (I AM KIDDING) please?

There are 7 cats living with me, and 3 have long hair. I do some, but minimal brushing and combing. My cats spend most of their time on the area rugs, and their own furniture, so little is on the upholstered items I sit on.

I have to say that my cat hair problem isn't much. I'm wondering if the dryness of your climate is a factor. Sounds like you're saying fur is floating in the air and static is causing it to cling to your clothing. Is the AC on? Do you use good filters?

What do you feed your cat?

Have you ever considered having your cat groomed and bathed? That will reduce excess hair a lot for a while. Is this all the time a problem, or more now as it is shedding season?

The Zoom Groom tool takes a lot of lose fur off my cats. You could just wear clothes the same color as your cat's fur. :lol3::lol3:

Thank you all for your help.  I have lived in Arizona for some time now and never even considered that the dryness of the air (11% today) would have a hand in the cat fur battle.  I am wondering if a humidifier would help?  Yes, Yes on the vac.  I need one that will suck the rug up to the moon and back.  Oh, by the way, my furball's name is Jezeray the Cat.

Does that make a noise?  Jezeray the Cat will have me in orbit if it does, and I will be bleeding!!!!
