Cat got her tail stuck in my window, hair was removed at the end

Is this a serious issue? If so what would the vet do? How much would it cost? I normally take her to The Women's Humane Society I wouldn't be able to go until tomorrow morning. She doesn't seem in pain.She has licked it a few times. I sprayed Antimicrobial Wound Spray on the end. I feel so horrible this happened. Please let me know what I should do!

Hi, Is she dragging her tail? Touch the tail to feel for breaks or kinks. Does she get upset when you do this? Is she vomiting or having any sort of litter box problems?

When did this happen?

There is not really anything the vet can do for a broken tail, so unless you see other serious symptoms like I asked about (pain reaction to touching area/vomiting/diarrhea/not using litter box), it's not worth going to the vet.

I came to the vet. I'm too nervous about it. I don't think its broken. But bone is showing and cartridge. Hope this doesn't cost very much.

WOW! I just though that was some hair with blood on it. Yeah I would definitely take her to the vet without question. Hope she's OK.

What was the outcome of the Vet visit? 

She needed surgery. They only gave me a cone last night. This morning I took her back so they could cut some of her tail . They told me to come back this afternoon, I did. She was too drugged up to come home today. I'll be back tomorrow morning to bring her home. The total cost was $301, an expensive accident if you ask me. I just can't wait to bring my kitty home tomorrow.

Ouch! Lots of that she heals quickly!
