Clicker Training Ferals?

I read on a couple of sites that clicker training (like what you use with dogs) works wonders on ferals. I'm curious if anyone has tried using this technique to work with feral cats before and perhaps your opinions on it.

Here are a few links:

I have not tried it but have always wanted to. I even have this book laughing02.gif http://www.amazon.com/Cat-Training-Minutes-Miriam-Fields-Babineau/dp/0793805309 I absolutely DO think cat's can be easily trained by way of clicker!!!!!!! Smart little creatures - for sure rub.gifheartpump.gif Now you have me thinking about it again. I don't have a clicker - but think I should get one biggrin.gifclap.gif

I used a clicker with my little stray that I found in September. She's not feral but unsure and even sometimes fearful around us. I just used it to help create positive interactions and focusing on the clicker distracted her from thinking too much about being unsure of me, I think. It was helpful.

She isn't an overly cuddly cat, but she does like people and is interested in them now. We call her our "little stalker". :P
