My boyfriend is currently visiting his mom who lives 3 hours away, and he just called me to say he's bringing her dog back with him. He's a 10 year old chihuahua with a bit of weight on him, and his mom is having a difficult time right now so my boyfriend is taking him. I'm also out of town, and Bowser is being babysat at my parents' place right now. When we get back, there's going to be a new dog in our little apartment. I really need some advice on how to handle this. I'm not so worried about Bowser because when he was a baby my roommate had a chihuahua puppy and they were best friends. I'm more worried about the dog, who has never been around cats before so I'm not sure what his reaction may be. Any advice on how to make this work?
