Paper napkins or paper plates online (or in any stores in SE PA)!  I don't like the ones on eBay (the ones I do like have to sent from China).  amazon really doesn't have many--and are repeats of eBay.  I'm specifically looking for Ruby-Throated hummies.  I need them rather soon, too.  There have been hummingbird sitings in NJ the past week. They are not supposed to return until about a month from now.  I wanted to have a little celebration the day after I see mine return (if they do).  I plan to bake a hummingbird cake, make red hibiscus punch to take to work, and make it an annual tradition.  Tomorrow, I'm putting out the feeders for them, in case they show up soon.

Some of you may remember my hummingbird story, and how special these birds are to me...Thanks!!!!

Thank you. The cloth ones would not work for me, though--I couldn't afford 15 of them, and can't be sure everyone would return them to me (it's for work).  The Paws & Claws ones are just what  I wanted; I saw them before, but they are out of stock (and $11.83 for shipping!). I wish I could find that pattern elsewhere. Ebay had them, but it's the Chinese seller--too many shipping problems with them, in my experience, and I wouldn't get them in time. To be honest, I'm not loving the last pattern--not the bright red and green I'd like--not hummingbird-ish, if you know what I mean (yes, I'm a pain in the butt!).

You know, just a thought, but maybe you could check on ebay for sellers that make wedding napkins and see if they have a hummingbird stamp. That way you could chose the napkin colors you want. I got my wedding napkins from ebay and it was $100 but I also got 500. You don't have to get that many but if it's going to be an annual tradition you may want to stock up.

I'm logging off soon so I don't have time to research for you now but I'll see what I can find tomorrow.

I just checked the Paws & claws website-- It says In Stock, additionally there is an option for $7.95 shipping?

Thanks! However, they only have 1 in stock! Can you imagine?!  I tried to put 4 in my cart. Oh, well.  I'm thinking of the suggestion to rubber-stamp plain napkins (for now).  If anyone comes across the printed ones or plates, I'd appreciate a heads-up on here. Thanks!!!

Guess what I bought instead of napkins?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/370592995692?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

(Actually, I bought some napkins that I'm not crazy about, but they were cheap enough. I'd still like to find nicer ones.)

I figure, that in the long run, the cake plate will be cheaper than buying napkins + shipping every so often for years to come.  I think it would be funny to serve the hummingbird cake from this!  Also, it benefits The Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.  I'm a Type II diabetic myself. Also, I needed a dome lid for my other cake plates--the cats broke the one I had, and I always use one with my cakes. Leaving them on the table at work, parties, etc. dries them out.

Oh, I LOVE that!! Good job!! That will work for this year, but you may be able to find some napkins on clearance sale this fall for next year. I have a feeling spring will be a hard time to fine that kind of stuff in stock, but keep trying!
