A lot of threads discuss issues relating to mama cats who are weaning their kittens and how the mamas can be helped.

I have raised +/- hundreds of kittens and one thing that has worked wonders is cutting the foot off of a snug (not tight) tube sock and slipping it onto the mama's belly.  It keeps the kittens off of her and it acts as a bra to support her aching bosoms.

A natural, breathable cotton or wool fabric works best.

That's all.  Hope this helps someone. :)

I will have a Mod move this question to the Pregnant Cat and Kitten Care Forum. I am sure in that forum you will receive many suggestions in answer to your question :)

P.S. Hope Sadie is doing well :rub: :vibes:

It works also for moms with mastitis,  and also after a spaying, instead of a elisabethan collar.

Tx for the tip!
