oh wow..ok, I thought for sure they were coming last night. Well if she's not acting sick, or acting like she's trying to push or anything like that, then I wouldn't worry. My vet told me that she's seen cats go on like that for up to 7 days with a little leaking, meowing etc...she said it's the hormone changes that cause it. Just to be on the safe side, you could call a vet and describe what's going on and ask questions.

yes I've seen that before with the swollen and pink vulva and discharge right before labor that's why I kept wondering why she didn't have them yet.  I didn't know the crying is because she's calling the male but it makes total sense to me now that I think about it.

Update for Bella, pink and swollen vulva but no discharge. Today, she's been meowing at me more than usual and also eating more than usual.

haha you're funny...maybe that running around will bring on her labor already. haha. I think the belly looks hanging down lower cause the babies are heavier and also the momma cat is close to labor? dont know for sure but the belly looks lower during the last week. Bella can't run, she's too big...she does more of a wobble walk. HAHA! so no way am I letting her out, plus "blacky" (the neighbor's cat who got her preggos) will pick on her and bother her. And she accidently got out last weekend and was gone for 10 hours, so I'd be way too paranoid that she'd have the kittens outside or get locked in someone's garage or something worse...or get fleas or ticks or... some bacterial infection..or, or....ARGHHHH ! Sounds like these crazy cats are driving us nuts. I'm probably driving Bella nuts when I go check on her 50 times a day LOL

when Bella had her first litter last year, her belly wasn't very big at all. She had 3 kittens that time. I do remember her belly hanging lower and the vulva got pink and a little swollen at the very end of pregnancy, during the last week. This time she is much bigger. Other cats I've had over the years, most of them get the low hanging belly during the last week. I was thinking today that maybe it's her uhmm boobs? LOL...because, you know, sometimes the milk starts to come in at the very end when they are near labor time. So maybe it's her breasts being enlarged and hanging and not really her belly?

Last year, Bella didn't show any signs before labor...she was just real quiet and mellow and sleeping a whole lot during the last week. No leaking, no meowing, no loose stools, no obvious signs at all. (Her mother leaked bloody discharge and had loose stool 2 days before labor. Also, her mother had a super hard time with labor, but Bella didn't and she is a tiny little girl, she looks like a 6 month old kitten in size)

Also  I had a box ready for bella and she didn't bother with it. Same thing this time. Then, One morning at 4am she jumped on my bed and swatted my face (LOL) until I woke up then just lay on the bed next to me, purring real loud. I could see contractions happening, like about 2 minutes apart I think...and I knew she was in labor. I could still see the kittens squirming around in her belly while she was in labor, and they were still in the same general area, not lower like near the vulva or anything like that. and within a half hour she gave birth to the first kitten.

This time, she is a bit more feisty, and meowing a lot, trying to go out...and also eating tons of food. But still sleeping a lot also like last year and again, no leaking. oh yeah and the thing she did both last time and this time, is poke around a whole lot, trying to get into drawers and small places....or rip newspapers apart, stuff like that. She did this mostly during the last week of pregnancy. She stopped poking around about 2 days ago and only gets up to eat or use the litter box.  so I'm not sure what's going on with her...the only thing I'm pretty sure of is when she's due to give birth, which is NOW...only because I was fortunate enough to actually see her mating with the neighbor's cat and I marked that week on the calendar.

so that's about it, and all cats are different I guess. And Bella is all done with her pregnant years after this litter, she's getting spayed  in May.

This is Bella last year - 10 days before the kittens were born. She wasn't big at all.

This is her right after the kittens were born

And these are the 3 little kids right before they were adopted. awwww too cute !

Oh, they do.  It strikes me it is not only their way, but also a) massaging the areas soon in work

b) taking away excessive hair from that area - it is better the areas are hairless in the time to come.   :)

whereeee are youuuuuu leetle keetens....haha, well I hope Bella has them this week I was supposed to have jury duty and I was able to postpone it until next week, but they only let you do that once so come on Bella, let's goooo! haha. I went back and recounted the days on the calendar and today is day #63 so it's any time now I'm sure...still no leakage or any obvious signs with her, just pigging out a whole lot and frequent trips to the litter box now and the rest of time is spent sleeping. Although today she seems a little bit more active than the past few days. ok breath breath '''hoo hoo hee hee" ....... MOL (meow out loud)

oh ya, one more different but cute thing...she's been sleeping with the dog since last night. It's funny because her mom was a stray and took off after she was born, so I hand raised her and Daisy (my Dog) was like a surrogate mommy to her, except for the feedings but lots of cuddles.....hee hee funny cuteness, the girls are hanging out together now
