New adopted human

I just "catnapped" a beautiful jet black 3 year old male short hair. I want him to be super happy so why not join a fabulous community like this to learn more about cats? I know much more about dogs, but I LOVE cats too. I stay at home so I have way too much time on my hands   Thanks for such a great informative sight!

Welcome to TCS!  I too have a jet black short haired cat though female named Inky!    You need a light turned on at night to see her.

Black cats are my weakness! I've read that all siamese cats are actually black but have a genetic mutation that causes the point pattern to form.
