okay so my spotted cat Min just gave birth a week ago and now it's my white cat, Shasha is about to go into labour. However, Shasha wants to nest right beside Min's nest, and Min's not happy.

I keep putting Shasha in her own quiet room, but she keeps finding ways to go out and comes back to Min's nest again.

Any tips on how I could make her stay put there?

What if you were to put a blanket in the Min's nest for a bit so it can get her scent on it then put that blanket in the nest for Sasha?

In the wild, sisters or near friends do often have litters near each other, often helping each other. So this behavior by itself isnt peculiar nor dangerous.

The problem here is Min doesnt want it, probably she is being protective of her newborn kittens.

Sasha is also perhaps standing higher in their hierarchy? So she doesnt bother about Min objectiosn.

But continuing thinking.  If Min were really upset, she would beat up Sasha. Moms easily do chases away the Toms if they thinks they are a threat (friendly toms being pals may be allowed).  A high preg mom shouldnt be no match for an angry, protective mom defending her kittens.

Are you SURE Min does mind?   :)

Good luck!    *vibes*

Put them in separate rooms and shut the doors.
Yes, probably the best advice if you have the practical possibilities.

If they were really best friends it wouldnt be problem, but it seems there are issues.   :(

sasha always escapes through the windows. god knows how she squeezes through them with her preggo belly.

anyways she already gave birth somewhere outside and moved her kittens to min's nest :I

min doesn't mind the new kittens and takes care of them, but she definitely doesn't want sasha around and sasha just leaves them all the time :I

whut. sasha y u no take care of your kittens?

and I'm not sure if sasha's on top of the hierarchy since min always seem to be the boss of everything that its a surprise she took care of sasha's kittens

Unusual but not unique bivariant!  More common is one momma takes over both litters, "kidnaps" them from a low hierarchy mom..

With breeders all such is unusual because for them it is important to know which kitten is which, and who are the parents.

But with moggies,  or queens of two entirely different breeds, living together, not so unusual as said.

Here the unusual bivariation is Sascha taking in the kittens but being chased away.

May it be possible Sascha did leaved them voluntarily?  WANTING them to be nursed by Mim, more or less abandoning them on purpose?

Does she try to sneak in and nurse them?  Or is Mim doing everything?

How are the newborn in competition with their older "plastic"-siblings?

How many are they kittens alltogether?

The best is if you manage the moms too cooperate. Or  if not, NOW do as Missymotus advised,  and have them in two separate rooms.

If  Mins is the only mom giving milk, I presume she has a big litter now.

You must be very sure she gots a really first rate cat food.  Possibly you must also give extra calcium.

Do weigh the kittens every day, so you see they do gain in weigh and thrive. If not - you must perhaps give them extra, kmr of some sort (but not Hartz kmr!).

Proceed with reports and questions.

Good luck!    *vibes*

Min's 3 kittens are already 1 week old

Sasha gave birth a couple of days ago to 4 kittens

so that's 7 kittens in total

At first I saw Sasha lying around with a normal non-preggy belly and that's when I found out she gave birth somewhere outside.

Next thing I did was coax her to bring the kittens to a more comfortable box to move them into a room we dont use.

After that I locked them into the room but I saw Sasha again wandering about. (most likely escaped through the window, my cats have a talent for opening them =__=)

I keep trying to make her nurse her kittens but she wont stay put.

After that I saw her trying to get into Min's nest.

I kept her away again but today I woke up with all 7 kittens behind my bed (Min's nest) and Sasha was there with her kittens.

Min was growling a lot but only managed a soft swat at Sasha's face but Sasha didn't budge :I (its like she lacks a brain or something)
Later, Sasha was gone and all of the kittens snuggled up around Min and she didn't mind.

Now Sasha's trying to get into the nest again but she ended up squishing them so I had to pull her away. Now she's squeezing through my bedroom window again :I

You really need to completely separate the two queens and their litters at least for now, and make sure they can't get out either.  If they can get out then the other cat can get in their room.

I did. They just love kidnapping each other's kittens xD

Today I got home with Min meowing at me. I checked the back of my bed and her kittens were gone.

We thought she moved them coz of the children barging into my room but she acted like she was confused, and she stayed put in her nest.

Later granpa saw them in Sasha's nest =__=

Min was more than happy to get her kittens back xD

Agree, this sounds like a very stressful situation for the poor cats. They also shouldn't be allowed outside until they've been spayed, cats can come into call again very soon after having kittens you really don't want them getting pregnant again.

Please be a responsible owner and ensure they can't get out through any windows.
