Hi there, I've taken two cats home from my few years stay in Egypt, where they were street-kittens when we found them.
3 years later, we're back in Canada and just now, when petting my neurotic Mau, I noticed he has two bald spots on the base of the inside of his ear. They were almost undetectable where they are located, but upon further investigation, he has grey patches. His ears are pink and clean, and the white skin in the balding areas has little etches of grey in it. I didn't think he was scratching, but I noticed him itching it not two minutes later.
I have another one, and she's fine. I've checked for fleas and don't seem to see anything. Clem's bald patches aren't necessarily circular... and there's no other balding on the rest of his body. Could it still be ringworm? He's not itching constantly, just from time to time.
He's a very neurotic cat though - was traumatized when we pulled him from the streets, and almost didn't make it. I heard it might be stress.
Any insight would be most helpful!
