Nothing new there. The only suggestion was to put the box in a closet or buy something to disguise it, which I would hope are options that people already know about. If someone can't put two and two together to realize, "hide the litterbox when people come to view your home," then they need someone with some common sense around them through every step of the home buying and selling process, because litter box hiding is by far the smallest, simplest problem you will face when moving.

I've sold a house when l had Rosie and Sophie. Their litterboxes were in the spare bedroom where they are now, but it never put my buyer off.

For me when you know someone is coming to view just make sure the boxes are scooped.

In the kitchen
When my sister remodeled her kitchen, she wanted to keep the original kitchen cabinets as they (and the house) were built back in the late 1800s. She had a carpenter build her a large pantry cabinet to match the rest of the cabinets. It's really pretty. The bottom of the pantry cabinet is where she keeps the kitchen litter box. Other than the hole in the side of the cabinet, you'd never know that it's for the litter box. She simply opens the cabinet doors to remove the box for scooping, changing litter, etc. It's just perfect.

We have two boxes in the kitchen. One is inside a carpeted litter bench that opens from the top with a hole in the one end. It's really pretty and we've had people sit in the kitchen and have dinner, not realizing that they're eating about 3 feet away from a litter box. The cats love to lie on top of the bench; it's carpeted, so it's nice and comfy for them. Boo likes to lie there and look out the French doors to see the birds and bunnies. The other kitchen box is the Booda Dome....we take it back to the bedroom when people visit.

We have three boxes in the bathroom and they're all standard covered litter boxes.

As we specifically wanted cat lovers/caregivers to buy our property, which had a huge catio and a stables compound built out with cats in mind, we had no problem.  Anyone who's so incredibly OCD that they can't face the reality of people having indoor cats should seek some help.
