My cats get canned and dry food. One has just started throwing up with the dry (Purina Pro Plan Naturals) and I was thinking of doing a grain free dry.

Here's the ones I was looking at:

EVO Turkey & Chicken

Taste of the Wild

Fromm Grain Free Surf and Turf

I'd recommend Blue Wilderness (Weight Control, which is Turkey and has no fish) or Chicken,

or Wellness Core, or EVO Cat & Kitten.

My kitties have never tried TOTW, cuz they changed from Chicken as the first ingredient to Chicken Meal.

Correction...

I left out a few key ingredients...

Blue Buffalo Wilderness Weight Control, has Chicken, Chicken Meal... Turkey and no fish.

However, Potato Starch is the 3rd ingredient in this formula,

and I'm not sure how I feel about that. I might start a new thread if I don't find much info.

I believe that EVO, Core and Orijen are the best out there. Fromm Surf and Turf a close second to those. Those would be the only grain-free dry foods that I would feed my cats. :D :wavey:

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
I have to disagree on the Wellness CORE dry food. These are the first listed ingredients: Deboned Turkey, Deboned Chicken, Chicken Meal, Whitefish Meal, Herring Meal, Peas, Turkey Meal, Potatoes, Chicken Fat. The primary source of protein is from chicken, fish, and turkey meal. Yes, turkey and chicken are highest on the list of ingredients, but those are "wet." It takes a heaping pile of dry meal to equal the weight of fresh meat. So whenever a food has "meal" of any kind in it, where it is on the ingredient list doesn't matter much given that it's a dry weight vs. a wet weight.

Have you looked at Earthborn Holistic Grain free? They have two formulas. My Hobo does well on Wild Sea Catch.
