I've had Corkscrew for a year and a half now, and he's gotten so much better. When I first had him he would bite me everytime I tried to touch him, and now I can pet him and he actually tries to get my attention now. A few weeks ago I was sitting at the computer and he jumped on my lap, I almost started crying because I was so happy. Now he's jumping on my lap a little more often. He's still no where near as affectionate as Tibby but he's getting so much better.

Isnt it just the best feeling when you notice improvement?? I get so happy when once in awhile in the morning Zoey will jump on the bed and come lay by my face. She only does it for a couple minutes but it means so much to me. The fact that she bites me SO MUCH LESS is just the greatest acomplishment on both of our parts. It kills me that people cant be more patient with their animals before dumping them off at the pound.

I remember one time shortly after I'd gotten Corkscrew and he got sick. So when I took him to the vet he asked me if Corkscrew had been acting any differently, and I said yes he hasn't bitten me in two days so he must be really sick. I couldn't help but laugh at the look on the vets face, you could tell he wasn't sure if I was being serious or not.

Sicy, Tailer was like that too when I got her, but I made a practice of holding her every day. The first week you do it for as long as possible, the next week you push it a little long, and so on and so forth. I still can't hold her much longer than 15 minutes, but she's much more lovable.

I think I would have my face clawed up and my arms chewed up if I forced Corkscrew to be held.

Yeah Zoey WHINES so loud when I pick her up. Luckily she never uses claws.. but those teeth omg
Sometimes if I hold her for too long she will push my face with her paws and even try to bite my nose/mouth

Zoey has a tendency to want to help us build stuff
She picked up this screwdriver in her mouth. Weirdo.

Spike doesn't like to be held either. Whenever I pick him up, he'd brace his paws against my chest and push so I can't cuddle too close to him!
If I hold him too long, he will start wriggling like crazy to get away.

Sigh! The things these cats have to put up with from their slaves such as improper displays of affection!
