hi , there i lost my 3 year old girl cat Skye at the start of the month due to cancer , before they knew what it was the vet 1st thought it was FIP ... on going tests resulting in it highly unlikely to be FIP due to the numbers per slide ratio was less than 10 and it would have had to have been in the 100s .She had stopped eating at the time and were told to give her tuna as she wasnt eating to perk her up to give her the meds with food as its a soft meat with a strong smell it would maybe work . after she passed we were worried about my boy cat Elmo been down and sad and not eating and we were giving him tuna cheer him up as well as lots of attention and he loves it . I never knew till tonight how bad tuna was for cats and hes been eating it everyday for about 23 days as well as his royal cann indoor dry food and now am worried after reading up on this... yellow fats... that he could be ill from all that tuna .... 1st thing tomorrow i will get him to the vet and tell them about the amount hes has eaten roughly 70g a day for about 23 days hes a seal point rag doll so quiet a big cat ...... i just hope hes ok and i have not done him any harm but after the shock of losing 1 cat after 6 days of finding out she had cancer . this is scaring me now..... he looks fine and jumping around the living room the now but i am never giving him any more of princes tuna chunks in spring water again after today.... only his normal food and water for now on... i feel like i cant do anything right ....
