Have You Made Provisions for Your Cats?

It's been a long time since I made my will, and I know it needs updating.  That has me wondering---what about the cats?  The way things are in my life right now, I know I can't rely on the person I was counting on to take care of them.  That leaves me in a pickle.  We have 6, between the ages of 6 and 12.  Three of them are 'super-bonded'---I think they would literally die without each other.  I don't have family members to take them in.  This would only be an issue, obviously, if something happened to DH and me at the same time.  We do own our home, so they would have a place to live out their lives, but how do you get someone to take care of them?  We have life insurance and savings that would pay for their care, but again, how do you get someone to do that?

If anyone has 'been there, done that' in regard to making sure their fur-babies are taken care of, I'd love to know what you've done.

We had spoken to a friend years ago and he agreed to take over care of any cat we had if the both of us were to die together. When we did our will back in November, we named him in the will and left him a fixed sum of money on the provision he would care for our pets.

I know that if I pass on, my boyfriend will keep Bowser. If something happens to the both of us, my parents would be happy to take him in. My dad loves the little guy, and he hates cats!

I am still young but should anything happen to me, my parents would take Parker. No questions asked. If for any reason they absolutely couldn't my roommate or my sister would take him. Worst case scenario, my aunt would. (Parker is well loved, if you couldn't tell.
)
I also agreed to take on my sisters 2 cats and her dog if anything happened to her and my BIL.

No as have to many to figure out a plan.  I know a few would be placed in family and I have 2 friends who do TNR and they have a few connections with some local shelters.  I have only taken 1 new one  in last year and half(did many TNRS tho lol...)   and lost a few too:(  I really fear what would happen if I go but to be honest have no idea of a better what if plan.

I have a group of cat loving friends, including our tcs Feralvr, who have promised to find good homes for my cats, should I pass away before them. I keep meaning to write a will leaving funds for their care and to continue their health insurance. But I haven't gotten around to it yet.

Though my cats have complex relationships, and some are close friends, I don't think any of them wouldn't be alright if separated from each other. I don't expect they could stay together. I have seven of them. I just want them to have good homes to live out their lives.

Sounds as if it's fairly simple when there's only one or two kitties involved.  I'm simply at a loss as to what to do about this.  I'm probably worrying over something that will never happen, but that's what I do.

No, not really.  Both our cats are seniors.  We don't like to think about it, but are hoping to outlive them.  Then we have a pact of no more simply because we don't want them to outlive us.  Our daughter is not able to care for them.  Our son probably wouldn't care.

I dont have a plan, but imagine that Rob would either take them back in, or his parents, as they love Nero (Neko still hides from them, but I think they'd try and give him a chance too). I think just about anyone who knows Nero would be willing to take him, but Neko would need some work as he's always been skittish and not as personable unless he's comfortable around you.

Right now I'm in VT visiting the bf's family, and his aunt has 3 cats. Someone is taking them in luckily, since she is unable to care for them now that she's been moved to a nursing home. The one laying next to me has such an awesome personality, his mom wishes she could take him!

my coworker/friend/cat sitter agreed to take them in if anything happens to me, and vise versa, I'd take her cats if anything happened to her and her husband
