can this teapot be used?

I saw, and ordered this cute teapot on amazon:


It came (smaller than I expected, but good enough for one person), but it's made in China.. and glazed over ceramic. 

I am apprehensive about using this on open gas flame..

what do you guys think? I love it as a decoration, but I'd also love it if I could use it!

I don't think your teapot is meant to boil water. It may be only made to steep tea.

Normally with a tea pot you put the tea in then boil the water seperately and then pour the boiling water into the tea pot.x

Its ok, get a nice tea cosy and it will stay warm for a while. I love tea out of tea pots, it tastes lovely.x

Was planning on using it to boil water for instant coffee! Lol. Glad I didn't toss metal pot away!
