My friends indoor cat had kittens and once they are weaned she will not be able to keep them and if not adopted will be forced to turn them into the local shelter and around here that is a kill shelter, so in about 6 weeks they can be adopted out. People she knew told her to kill them or dump them and she wont do do that but I dont know any places by me that will take them and I cant adopt either. If anyone is interested please send me a message and I will give you my friends contact information. Here is the mama cat and her kittens.

They are precious babies and I hope they will find forever homes. Please suggest to your friend to get her female cat spayed :cross: as well. Mega vibes for good, loving homes for the kittens :cross: :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:

They are precious! I live out here myself, but my husband will not budge on another cat. However, I will ask around, my daughter has loads of cat loving friends, as do I.

One of my neighbors also adores kittys, so I'll give her a ring too.

There is a rescue out here just up the road a piece from me-"Save a Pet" and they are no kill, and have foster homes lined up to take kittens as well-you can give them a call- 631-473-6333.

I appreciate you asking and I will give my friend that information!

The whole thing started I think that my friends Mom was hoarding cats and then found most of them homes and my friend took in a female cat named Sable. My friend is in her early 20's on disability pay with no job living in an apartment, she also has no transportation and has to rely on friends or family when or if they have time. She has intentions on getting the cat spayed after but the whole reason she got pregnant she could not get to a spay/neuter clinic in time and the cat went into heat and got pregnant. I'm in a similar living situation on disability so little pay per month and no car, it can be tough and although taking care of one cat is manageable there is no way she can afford to care for them once they are off moms milk and I'm sure where she lives has rules about how many animals you can keep.

I've asked a lot of people around here. No takers yet, but my daughter is working on one of her girlfriends who has several pampered kitties...

The kittens are nearly ready for homes, but sadly not one of them has been adopted, and on top of that black cats here are not often adopted and usually flood shelters. Here are pictures of them.

I posted on Facebook to see if anyone's interested. I live on Long Island so hopefully I can help!

also, if they can't find homes.. have them contact Last Hope. They are a non-kill shelter and has a cat-only shelter in Huntington. I used to volunteer for them, GREAT place!

This thread was started over a year ago, so the kittens are now over one year old...no longer kittens.  My guess is they are no longer available.  Also, the original poster cannot email you, as the way to contact folks thru this forum is by sending pms (private messages)

Thank you so much, though, for offering to take two.  Hopefully you will find two kittens in June, if kittens are what you want.  I'm sure there will still be plenty up for adoption, although there is certainly nothing wrong with adopting an adult cat or two.  They are much harder to find homes for, and with an adult, you already know what kind of personality they have.  We adopted two of ours as adults, and two as kittens.  Of course, we love them ALL, but our Callie is definitely my DH's favorite (BY FAR), and she was already set in her ways
  when we got her
.  But, seriously, you'll know whether they are lap cat, like to be held, stand offish, etc. if you get them as adults.  Just sayin
