Well, once again I tried and failed to write about my photo with the posting.  I tried to insert text in the main message box, GoldyCat, like you suggested, but after I'd uploaded the photo.  Perhaps if I try beforehand next time. 

In the end I tried squeezing it all into the title, which didn't work either as a lot of it just got lost. I'm sure I'll sort it out eventually.

This is my girl.. She's never had a kitten in her life before, but she's doing a wonderful job of it.  I took this photo many months ago.

The best way to add text is in the body of the post, just above or under the picture. Whatever is entered in the picture upload form is actually used for the "backend" of the page, visible mostly to search engines or browsers used by disabled people. It still is very helpful, just not visible to most people.
