Do you take your cats for walks? Are they on a leash or in a stroller?

I just bought a pet stroller and I can't wait to see if it's something Luna & Midnight will enjoy.

I occasionally take a few of mine that enjoy it for walks on a leash and harness. Bailey learned to walk on one with the dog so he "wags" his tail while he walks.

Baby will go out for walks on the leash.

Jade has no interest at all in going outside, and Brillo is not yet neutered so no outside for him.

We used to take the cats for walks on leashes around the yard. When Banshee was alive, I would carry her around the yard and she would sniff the flowers and the tree leaves. I would carry her to the maple tree and say, "And this is a maple tree!" She would sniff the leaf and then we'd go to another tree and do the same thing. I know she didn't understand a bit of what I was saying, but she loved being outside and she would just purr and purr the entire time. Even when it was raining, I'd take the umbrella and we'd go outside, even if it was only for five minutes or so. In the winter, I'd wrap her in her blankie and we'd go out. I tried the same thing with Mollipop, but as soon as a neighbor would come over to us, she'd get very skittish and I was afraid she'd try to leap out of my arms, so I quit doing it so often. I'll try it again when the weather warms up and see what happens. But I have to have a very tight grip on Molli.

Jamie has been leash-trained since he was about four months old and goes for a walk around our property at least once a day, often two or three times a day on weekends or during school vacations. It's definitely the highlight of the day for him, as he can't wait to go out when I get home from work. He's actually quite a good hunter despite the restrictions of the leash.

Nope.  My 2 stay strictly indoors.  We get some good traffic during the "rush hours" here.  We live on a country road; but it's one that leads to other country roads.  I don't want these 2 getting the idea of going outside at all.

I had one cat that liked to go outside on a leash.  But we didn't actually walk; like I'd do with a dog.  She'd just sniff around in the grass and watch things.  In her later years she did start going outside without a leash; but she mostly stuck around our yard or went into the field behind the house to sit in the taller grass.

Oh I wish! If I lived in a home with a large yard I would walk Penny & Daisy and they'd love it too. I once saw a man walking a cat in Union Square, which is one of the most crowded spots in Manhattan. The cat wasn't freaked out or anything - Like he had done it before- Very odd to see but cool

I used to take Nero outside on a leash and harness, but he didn't much walk :lol3: When he's living with me again I probably will take him out again on it, though I think he associates it with the vet since I used to take him to the vet using it too - they got a kick out of it!

Neko was never interested, and Hoshi would go out on the back porch area and hang around there but not go much further or he'd get freaked out and run back to the door.

I got Riley in the late late fall, so it's pretty much been too chilly to take him outside. I've taken him out briefly twice, and I'm trying to get him used to his harness inside the house, so when the summer comes around we can go out more. I gave him a taste of the outside and now he wants more lol
