I posted a question on cat health and then realised we haven't even introduced ourselves..

We are a household of one cat, one kitten and one human.

Our little kitten has a bone deformity and so we are hoping so much that he will survive - we won't know for sure until he reaches adulthood.  However you wouldn't know there is anything wrong with him: he drives the elder cat mad by leaping on her from a great height, and by constantly attacking her tail.  She is amazingly accepting of this - I'm sure she knows that something is amiss.

I'm glad to have found this site.. it 'feels good'
.  I'm sure there will be lots of good advice and sharing to be found here.

I just found this site today too!  We have a 5 month old Siberian girl, and she is all about the pouncing :)  I wish all the best for your little one and your "grand dame"!

Welcome to TCS!

I hope things work out just fine for you kitten!  I wonder if your cat does sense he needs something extra.  My Mom once adopted a kitten and an older cat days apart from each other.  The kitten was a preemie and sick.  I think he weighed about a pound.  He was kind of dirty with flea dust and what not too.  The older cat would bathe him and snuggle him.  She taught him cat things like he was her own kitten.  Of course now he is grown and mostly just harasses her.  What thanks!

I think she does sense something... I think cats just do, don't they?

However she's been with me for 2 years so she wasn't wild about the idea of sharing her space initially... We did the whole separate room/sniffing through the door thing for many days, then the hissing (both of them, and him such a tiny little thing!) but now they romp quite happily.  No cuddling up together, though... the moment my girl moves the little boy thinks it's a game.  Maybe that will come.

I posted under "Health" that he has Pectus Excavatum and have asked if anyone has had a kitten with this.  I know some survive to adulthood and some don't.  He's a very feisty little chap, so I'm hopeful.

Thank you, Aoife...

You have to admit, pouncing makes you smile (as long as you're not on the other end of it)

Hi and welcome to TCS! :wavey:
I've never heard of this ailment, but I hope someone else has some advice to share with you. It sounds like you've given him a good fighting chance anyway.
