Is he overweight?

I cannot really feel his ribs and hes hot some saggy skin under his belly. He has so much fur so its kinda hard to tell. I really do not want to take him into the vet to just have them tell me hes fat. What do you think? Hes 10 pounds

What a beautiful kitty From the pics he does not look overweight.  That stomach sag thing you talk about is very common in neutered males.  I know I was worried about it with my cat Ramsey and the vet told me that it was a common trait when a cat has been neutered or spayed.  You don't have to take him to the vet to get him weighed.  You can do it yourself for a general idea of his actual weight.  Stand on your bathroom scales and weigh yourself.  Then pick up the cat and stand on the scales again. Subtract the difference.  It may not be fully accurate but it will be close. 10 pounds is a normal weight for an adult male cat.  And yours is a beauty  

Having a household of generally chunky cats, I'd have to say that he doesn't really look fat. If you google "cat obesity chart", you can find all sorts of images on what to look for to determine if your cat is overweight. There are so many of them out there that I'm not going to link to all of them. It's probably easier for you to do the google search on your own.

How did you know he was neutered? lol. Yeah he is neutered Was done at 6 months

He's a lovely cat.  From your description he might be a tiny bit overweight, but not much.  The size & weight of adult cats varies a lot, so his actual weight isn't really a much of clue.  If you want a less vague answer pop over to Scotland with him and I'd be delighted to have a feel!

BTW it is good to know how much a cat weighs for a number of reasons.  My vet weighs my cats each year when they have their booster shots (they also feels their tummies, listens to their hearts, checks their teeth coat & ears and generally coes over them!).  A more accurate way to weigh him at home which also avoids the horror of weighing oneself is to weigh their carrier, then weigh the carrier with the cat in and do the subtraction.

Yeah hes only had one booster and one rabies (what was needed to get neutered) so he hasnt been to the vet since other then for an ACL tear

no i think he is not over weighted. he looks like nice and healthy.

Just stepping in to squish a myth here.

The fat pad on cats is normal, and how pronounced it is depends on age and genetics, it has nothing at all to do with surgical sterilization.

All cats, even the big cats get it.

It is just a layer of padding to protect the belly.

When cats fight, they eventually wrap front legs around each other and 'bunny kick', the fat pad evolved to help protect from disembowelment.
