Sorry if a thread already like this.

I have a roughly seven/eight year old spayed female medium haired tortie, who we rescued from the R.S.P.C.A about 5 years ago in May. Before we re homed her she had been hit by a car and had some damage to her pelvis and hind legs. Her previous owners had paid for all her medical treatment before suddenly giving her up to the R.S.P.C.A. Sadly during this time my cat became very stressed and began to over groom her tail area which had been seen as fine after the accident. However a few weeks after going into the shelter she had to have her tail amputated due to her over grooming. A few weeks later we adopted her and every thing was fine till about a year ago.

Around the summer of last year I heard my cat making a strange noise and salivating badly, she had also wet herself. During this time she did not seem to be aware of her surroundings and what was happening, she came around and became distressed, meowing loudly (she never meows) and became clingy. She seems to go into these states and these 'fits' every 4/5 months and has 1/2 within a few days. There is no real sign for her going into these in days/hours leading up. They only happen when she is asleep and mostly during the night.

They normally start with her making a loud crying/screaming meow before her face starts to twitch, she will salivate (sometimes lots sometimes little amounts) and depending on how long she has been asleep will wee. These last 20/40 seconds before she comes around and begins to meow and rub herself against people for a few minutes before going back to her normal self. Her personality does not change as she is a very clingy cat normally and often follows me around the house and into whatever room I go, she also has to sleep right next to me at all times and will change position to be closest to me in her sleep.

She eats straight after any seizes and always gets a drink, having had a dog with epilepsy I am a little confused because she has never once fallen to the floor and convulsed like her used to.

I have a video of another cat that does what she does to show you:

She is a perfectly healthy cat apart from this, has a good appetite, good bowl movements, sleeps well, plays with the other cats fine, is very active, keeps her coat clean and tidy, very loving and acts the same as our other cats, just she had one at 4am today after having one around 9pm yesterday but the second one she ran around in circles for about 6\7 seconds which she has never done before and worried me, it was the fastest she has ever come around after a moment I have seen, this time she was not clingy, did not wee or seem to be out of it.

I was wondering if it could be an effect from the car accident? She seems to have these episodes since we got her as I remember being woken up by her crying and running out my room but seemed fine ten minutes after she left, I stupidly assumed it was a bad dream and feel totally bad I never realized.

Any help would be great, atm I can't really afford the vet due to being unemployed and was wondering if anyone on here could help? (p.s. sorry about the long post but want to get as much info to you guys as I can)
