Do white cats typically get more eye crusties than non-white cats? or is it because we're able to see the crusties better than a colored cat?

I've noticed Cassie has more eye crusts than Monet, I am usually cleaning it from her face. Then I thought back to my shelter volunteering days and I recall white cats getting more crusts.

Anyone have any ideas?

thanks :)

Hmmm, I don't see why they would get more crusties, just what you pointed out - that they're easier to see.

I know a white coat often affect their hearing, but don't know if it has any impact on eye problems.

Now that I think about it, the "crustiest" cats I can recall knowing have been orange ones.
