Vitamin C

LOL there's nothing quite like the sour pucker of a cat... I let mine lick the vitamin C tablet I'd been gnawing on, since he seemed to intrigued by the smell of my breath.  The weird thing was he kept coming back for more, even though it obviously wasn't pleasing.  I swear he'll try anything.

My vet told me to not give vit. C to cats, so I wouldn't do that. Not sure why (don't remember), but better to play it safe. I'm sure others here will know why, we have so many knowledgeable people here. "just look'n out for your baby."  :)

In most cases they get all the vitamin C they require from their food.

Too much vitamin C can contribute to calcium oxalate crystal formation.

But licking it isn't the same as eating it. He's fine. Just trying to get you guys to imagine something funny, and maybe laugh.

Cats actually make vitamin C, unlike humans and a few other species, so don't need any in their diet.
