I know its hard when money is tight,I am in the same position but he really needs to be seen by a vet. my vet is quite good will let me pay bit by bit, if one of my cats was in the same position I wouldn't hesitate but to take them to the vets, ring around and see if you can get any help with finances. Have you not got anyone who could lend you some cash? I wouldn't like to think of your baby suffering.x

Two immediate possibilities come to mind:

1.  Poisoning.  Did he get into something like cleaning supplies, house plants, etc.?  Is it possible he swallowed something that is causing a blockage?

2.  Something stuck in the mouth/throat.  This is less likely, but it does happen.  It can be something like a bone, a piece of a stick, toothpick, all sorts of things.

If it's the first item, the damage is likely already done.  If it's the latter, your cat could die a slow death of starvation over a lack of really simple procedure.

I would find some local vets and ring them and just explain the situation,I don't "know" my vet but they are very understanding regarding finances and put the health of the pet first. Please don't let your boy suffer. I think if you are in the US I have seen someone on here say you can apply for care credit?x

I am sorry to hear the situation you are in. But the only real way to find out what is wrong is to take him to the vet. I would call around as was suggested above and just tell them your story and see if you can make payments or something. Unfortunately if he is not getting better, I do not think there is much you can do for him alone.

If you can't get him to a vet, please get him to a shelter. They might put him to sleep or they might be able to cure him, but either way he won't suffer.

Any further updates?  I'm sure glad he was feeling better.  With this outcome, I would bet on the poison/houseplant/insect likelihood.

he seems ok still all three cate are good to go <3 im so worries when something happens. i only have one plant and its out of their reach. if they get to it they knosk off lots of other things. the few chemicals i have are in a coubord. they cant open them(they try tho) so it must have bin a bug.

thanks everyone
