Update ...
I put the tortiouse in the cage for the night to avoid flying fur. She did good ... only cried twice when hubby put wood in the stove. But I have a blanket over the cage so she could have privacy. And it worked. Shadow is the only one that is out with the kitten last night & today so far. So she is ok with her being here. Bubbers doesn't really care as long as she doesn't have to share her daddy with her. And Calie. Well Calie wouldn't come out of the bedroom last night. So I had to feed her back there last night. But when I went to bed last night I was expecting Calie to jump off the bed when I crawled in. Nope ... she stayed on the bed. And the couple times I did wake up ~ I found Calie right next to me. I even heard her purring.
So that is an added plus to this whole adventure. I've been working with Calie for 2 years & last night was a major breakthrough for her.
As for the kitten, today is getting an appt. set up for spay & shots, probably worming too. She does have an owie on her nose, but that even looks better today than it did yesterday. She is already box trained.
Now to find her a good home. She definataly likes to be in your lap. And she talks alot. We can't keep her, but am looking for a good home for her. I'm thinking she is about 3~4 months old. If anyone knows of a human looking for a furbaby ...
