OK, I wanted to get another kitty, so Luna could have a play-mate. I've begged and begged, but Alex won't budge! Ack! Waaa!

aww, maybe in time he will change his mind...Steve said no for a long time, and then when he saw Fluffy for the first time, he fell in love with her...he finally agreed that Rocky needed a playmate so he wouldn't be so bored.....anyway, just keep asking every once in a while and I bet he will change his mind...

Don't tell anyone, but my advice, if you really really want another kitty you could try: the silent treatment, threaten to not do ANY housework including his washing, threaten NO you-know-what and, as a last resort, crying.

Just kidding.

The crying worked for me once.......I didn't do it on purpose, I was honestly sad about not being able to take home Doug (a greyhound). Doug became my 95 pound lap dog.

oooohhh!!! You have a Greyhound??? I want one soooo badly

I'm really hoping I can convince my landlord that it would be ok for us to adopt one- he lives next door and is allergic to dogs. They are hypoallergenic I'm told- that'll be my leverage

Greyhounds shed very little and are very clean dogs. If you are serious about adopting one, ensure that it is proven cat friendly, and only introduce to your kids with a muzzle. I had 2 greyhounds and lost both to bone cancer - a common problem but don't let that prevent you from saving one from the track industry.

If you are serious, I can probably link you up with greyhound rescue groups nearby.

I have heard retired greyhounds can be very good pets but most chase cats, our ex neighbours had many greyhounds and they used to chase our cats because they thought it was the 'bunny'

I'm sorry Viva, Alex isn't budging give hom some time!
Good Luck!
