Started my new job last week, loving it so far...Done all my home office shopping yesterday(good thing too, winter weather advisory today, lots of snow so far!!!) DH put in for a job with Pepsi here, please send some of those awesome TCS
for him!!! He really wants this job!! New house is finally starting to come together still needs a lot of cosmetic work, but we are finally starting to make some progress
I adopted out one of our foster puppies two weeks ago, so happy she finally has her forever home, with an excellent new mommy and daddy!!!! I got to see her after her spay and was amazed at how well she has adjusted and how much she has grown since she was adopted out!!!
I had also adopted out our other foster puppy a male mix...but his new adoptive mom found out she was pregnant and decided she could not have a new puppy and baby at the same time, so she brought him back a few days ago, please send some
that we find the perfect forever home for him!!!

DH and I have just recently moved into the new home, and we have seen a stray cat who has been hanging around the house quite a bit, We had been trying to catch the stray kittty but she seems very very shy, We started feeding her and making sure she had fresh water available. With the snow storm coming in it became very important that I catch her especially with temperatures that are supposed to be well below zero tonight. Last night I heard a meowing at the front door, and when I opened it she came right in....I think the people who owned the house before us had her as an indoor cat and left her here when they moved
, DH put our dogs up(all of them love cats but are a little too friendly...I cleaned the spare bedroom up and sanatized it....grabbed the extra litter box and set it up, she is in there now resting quietly, she is so very sweet, she can't get enough attention! I done a physical exam, she doesn't appear to be sick and seems to be in overall good shape...the news is she is pregnant I believe we could have kittens at any time, our vet's office is closed today but she will be going in the morning for a full exam to find out how far along she is and what the est due date is, as well as being tested for anything she may have....I plan on fostering her until the kittens are born and are between 10 and 12 weeks old and ready for their new homes...I will be spaying mom and also spaying/neutering the babies before I adopt them out.  I do have a question for those who have more expierence with this than I do...What should be in my adoption contract, what I have so far is that they will not declaw the mamma cat or her kittens, I will check vet references, mamma and her babies must go to indoor homes, and if they can't keep mamma or her babies they must bring them  back to me and I will find another suitable home for them.  Is there anything I should add?  Also what do ya'll think is a reasonable adoption fee?  Mamma and all of her babies will be up to date on shots, wormed, spayed/neutered before adoption. Please send us some
for Mamma to be healthy and for healthy babies as well. I know she is too far along to be spayed right now, because I can feel the kittens and you can see them moving around.

Update on our something extra from the vet's office, He is doing much better URI is gone and he has a 100% clean bill of health :woohoo: He has settled in well with Blayze and Leo, him and Peyton are doing better, Peyton is still a little irritable about it, but it's nothing too bad, just a little smacking and hissing from time to time! Though so far today they have all gotten along well!!! Still no name for him yet, I just can't seem to find 'the' name for him! We like Bo and a couple of other names that have been suggested by ya'll in the fur pictures forum, but nothing seems to 'click' if that makes sense?!?!

There are no cat rescues here and cat's taken to the pound are immediately put down unless they are kittens, DH and my goal is to start a small rescue, and hopefully have it up and running by the end of this year, but it's such a slow process...please send us some
that we get it up and running quickly so that we can help save some beautiful cats/kittens, we will focus primarily on adult cats and also TNR!

Thanks so much everyone, for your continued support!!!

Looks like we won't be making it to the vet today!!! 8.5 inches of snow last night!! We should be able to get the Mamma kitty to the vet tomorrow though, as long as the temperatures continue to warm up!

Over the river and through the woods...
all around for everything you asked for! Wow, for once I'm glad I live up north. It's blue skies, 40+ degrees and beautiful here. Sorry it all got dumped on you. I was actually looking forward to a snow storm here (since I was off today) but nothing.

That is wonderful that you took in Mommy cat. If she was so shy but came right in last night I would say her time is near. At least they will be born where it's warm. Please keep us updated!

Good luck on the house. Our is constantly a work in progress and once one thing is done another problem comes up.

Thank You Calico!!! We really appreciate it! LOL that is so odd, usually you all in WV get the snow up there before we get it down here!!! Most of ours is gone today. Momma cats vet apt is in a few minutes. She seems to be in pretty good healthy very sweet today and her milk is starting to come in!! I will update with what the vet says later today!!!

The vet says she looks great, he feels like she is approximately 3 years old, he did not want to do an xray because he said he felt like she was too far along and due probably by the end of the week! All test were negative!!!!!
