So I work nights and since I'm naturally a day person, I can't seem to sleep for more than a few hours at a time. This being the case I usually try to squeeze in a power nap before I have to go to work at night.   Chacho doesn't always agree that its nap time and when Chacho wants attention he usually gets into stuff just so I'll come out and yell at him.

Anyways, the past couple of days, Chacho has decided that the best way to have fun and to get attention is to raid mommy's purse when its left on the table.  He steals my hair pins, pocket packs of tissues, and just about anything else in my purse.   It seems like its become his favorite game....well his game was turned up to the next level when I took a nap last night after eating dinner at my sisters.   He was being very annoying and wasn't letting me sleep so I kicked him out of the bedroom and shut the door.   About 30 minutes later I awake to him banging on the door, I get up and turn on the light to find that he had figured how to unzip the "girly pocket" in my purse and was unwrapping tampons and sticking them under the door.     He had unwrapped and shoved under my door 7 tampons!!   I open the bedroom door and he's just sitting there with tampon wrappers around him and another partially unwrapped under his paws. He looks at me, made a crazy chirp then ran into the living room and then turned and stared at me.    oooooooooo  I was so angry....though, now retelling the incident, I find myself sitting in my chair laughing because it is pretty darn funny.

I blame myself for spoiling him on my recent nights off. Both Matt and I really wore him out with play and I think he was just use to the extra play and now that its not my day's off anymore he's just trying everything in the book to get my attention...though he needs to realize that the more he gets into things the less I feel like playing with him....plus if he keeps waking me up when I'm trying to sleep then I'll end up sleeping later than originally planned which means any extra time I would have had to play with him before work is gone

LOL! Tampons seem to be perfect cat toys. A couple of years ago a member of a German cat forum wrote that her cat had gotten into a box of o.b.s and unwrapped every one of them. A surprising number of people posted that their cats did the same thing. Jamie used to love the plastic wrappers on individually packed minipads. He didn't unwrap tampons, but he liked to bat them around. My hysterectomy robbed him of some beloved "cat toys".

LOL!! This so funny and cute!!! I know it's aggrevating especially when you are trying to get some much needed sleep, I work from home, and the cats spend a lot of time in my office with me, 'assisting' me with my work...Friday night, I was on a conference call when I heard an obnoxious sound coming from the bathroom, I turned around and noticed all four cats in one of the boxes we used to move with a box of tampons....most were opened Blayze was carrying around a tampon in her mouth and Leo was batting the string...Peyton was laying on a mound of Tampons DH now refers to him as the Tampon King lol

That is sooo funny you guys! Thank goodness Angel has never done that, but I keep my purse inside the closet door on a hook, & tampons inside the bathroom closet. What a clever little kitty, getting the zipper undone. LOL!

haha!!!   Cute!!

That story reminds me of a former member named Lookingglass.  She has 2 cats, one of which is named "8-Bit". What a rascal he was!  He would get into her bra drawer and carry her bras into the living room when she had company. He also carried tampons to show their company too!!!  And another of her cats, "Scratch" decided that a pair of her hubby's underwear was going to be his "Wubbie" and refused to give them back. he carried them around and layed on them.

None of my cats carry around any of my clothing or personal stuff. The closest is a pair of socks that Abby adopted when she was 4 months old.  They are white and a patient crocheted black and white beads to the edge. I never wore them, but Abby found them one day, rolled up, and they've been her's ever since.  She uses them to announce her arrival into a room.

I'm just really surprised that Chacho left the strings on the tampons alone because he has a habit of eating string, well its more of an obsession of his...

When I first saw the tampons I was very confused I was like "I swear there weren't tampons here when I came into bed"  then when I realized it was Chacho's doing I couldn't figure out where he got them, I went down a mental checklist, the towel closet:closed, bathroom: closed and then I was saw my purse the inside pocket unzipped and pulled inside out and the rest of the contents of my purse scattered on the table and the floor underneath the table.

Luckly, Chacho was a good boy tonight and decided to take a nap with me. He was purring so loudly and I also gave him lots of awesome scratches, which is probably why he was purring so much.   See Chacho? When you're a good boy mama will give you actual attention instead of just kicking you out of the room.    Bad Chacho=being shut out of the room     Good Chacho=lots of scratches and postitive attention
