I think she either scratched her eye or one of the others did in play.  Now it's infected!  It was looking horrible and painful so I used some left over Ophihimal ointment last night... It was a chore getting it in, too!!  Paige is very flexible and strong for such a little thing!!  But, after some doing, it did help pretty much instantly!

I took her to see Doc A this morning.  She hates going to the vet.  He feels that somehow she injured her eye, too.  And he prescribed her some more ointment.  I told him "Easier prescribed than done... You are not the one that has to fight her and outwit her to get it in the eye!"  He laughed!!

Anyway, it's looking better, no more gunk... But it is still swollen and looks very painful and irritated.  Positive vibes for my girl please... And for me to get her to let me help her heal!!  Thank you!!

I'm not very clear about this.......based on
"He feels that somehow she injured her eye, too"

What exactly did your vet do to test for a possible eye injury?

I'm asking because you say your baby has an eye infection and the fact is that such infections can come from upper respiratory infections and some other underlying causes that can make a situation look like it was caused by an injury. (I had this happen with one mine several times, that's why I ask.)

OK, I am not sure what is unclear?  She somehow may have injured her eye and it got infected... It is swollen and looks painful.  She doesn't have anything else wrong with her.  No URI... Just a hurt eye.  We're not sure how she hurt it.  How is that unclear?   But thanks anyway.

I'm sorry your kitty has an eye infection, the same thing happen to my Fuzzy  months ago, it was awful, looked like an unjury and I had no idea how it happen.  The vet prescribed Gentamicyn eye drops and oral antibiotic and it cleared  in like a week.  I hope your kitty gets better soon
