One of my cats loves to munch on newspaper, or any paper that I my have laying around. Does anyone see any harm in this behavior?

Sasha does this too, but he prefers more rigid paper like catalogs and the phone book.

Maybe it is a Ragdoll thing.
Do you have any idea why? It don't look very tasty to me. I am concerned about the ink being poison.....

I gave my (mother) Ragdoll Adori some newspapers because she loves to play in them. I came home from work tonight and....she has them all gathered up in a corner of the room like a nest and she was laying in the middle sleeping
Maybe a motherly thing considering that she had kittens a year ago? She was a great mother according to my breeder.....she would let kittens from a different litter nurse on her also. Is this normal?

One of my cats has a thing for paper as well. He shreds it into little pieces -- most annoying when it's the phone bill!
My new baby "Chewie" loves paper of any kind. ESPECIALLY toilet paper. She grabs the end piece of the roll and runs around the house with it, basically "TP-ing" my stairs and front room!!! What can you do? Gotta love 'em!!!
By the way, she also loves to pull strands of carpet fiber out of my bathroom rugs... she proceeds to try and eat those as well. I usually catch her doing it (she's only in the bathroom when I am - the door is closed otherwise) and I have spent many minutes with my fingers in her mouth pulling carpet out!!!!
