Hi everyone,

Happy Valentine's Day!

Just wanted to update you on Jinky's progress. He is now a super carrier guy - he goes right into any carrier with zero problem, which is so great. He made it to the new home and he does hide a lot more than he used to (under the couch or in my closet, mostly). However, he now comes out and sits on my lap while I'm on the couch, which he NEVER did before! So there's some progress. He's still mildly afraid of DH, especially when DH is standing/walking, but allows him to feed him turkey and even pick him up if I'm there.

The only concerning thing is that Mr. Jink's has a bit more hair missing than before (a spot on his shoulder, on his neck, etc.). I know it's due to stress, just not sure what might help him.

This is a pic of him on my lap as I type this. You can see a little patch of fur missing.

:clap::clap::clap: SO SO happy to see your update and that the move went smoothly. Mr. Jinx sounds like he is doing very, very well in the new home. AND HOW WONDERFUL that he sits on your lap. What a love :heart3: :rub: I would keep an eye on that circular spot :nervous: Might want a vet to check that - I hope it is not some fungal infection :cross: Keep the updates coming! You have done a wonderful, beautiful job with Mr. Jinx :hugs:

:yeah: :woohoo: SO glad it went well!!! Aw.... he's becoming a lap kitty! :heart3:

You have had the bald spots checked? And another question - do you see him itching at them? When Chum had bald spots, he was constantly nibbling at them. That's how we decided to treat him for allergies with the holistic vet (and it worked great!).

:vibes: :vibes: :vibes: :vibes: he gets ALL sorted with your wonderful care and all that love! :hugs:

Thanks so much for the kind words!

Yes, the vet says his allergies are the pits, and everything -- including his perpetual winky eye - are all allergies. He does hack himself up a bit, and he's had stress. The skin exposed is really soft and white, no sores or anything. I just think he has plain itchy skin.

He spends so much time hiding though, that I miss him tons. He comes out mostly when he feels like no one is around. But when he does come out we spend a lot of cuddle time together, and he loves to sing all night long. I just make sure he has a full plate of food once the lights go out!

It is almost like starting all over again - but the big difference is that Mr. Jinx already trusts you so much and things will progress quickly once he feels safe and acclimated in the new house. Hope he feels better soon too :cross: :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:
