I do not want to over vaccinate my cat or dogs, so I am really considering only doing rabies. I will do rabies because it is law in my state. He is an indoor cat and an only cat. I just don't know what I should do. I would like to look for a holistic vet in my area. I also do not want to expose him to vaccine sarcomas. Any thoughts for me?

I vaccinate.  My cats shouldn't meet other cats, but they go to the cattery from time to time and vaccination is mandatory there.  Also they did get out once which was traumatic enough especially as I was recovering from major surgery, but had they caught a serious illness that would have been far worse.

Rabies and that's it. My cat is indoor only.  My dogs are only vaccinated for rabies as well, unless they are going somewhere that requires other vaccines.

Titers are always an option for people that don't want to over-vaccinate, but still want to make sure their pets have an adequate level of antibodies to protect them from the diseases that we have vaccines for.

Purevax vaccines here....
Rabies yearly.... 3-in-one every 3 years..... Discussed with my vet stopping vaccinating the 3-in-one all together, but he thinks it is not the safest route to go..... as although rare, diseases like distemper can be carried in. My pet sitter is also a vet tech, and to me that is a concern.
He says no more than once every 3 years is necessary...... but he doesn't consider safe less than either - so.... that's what I do
