Hello, I'm new

Hello, this is my first post.  Don't have the hang of things yet.  I am going by ShastaDaisy.  These were the names of my two wonderful previous cats who both have passed.  They were perfect kitties and we went through a lot together.  I took a short break when Shasta died but now I have two more.  I was going to hold out longer.  I was just "browsing" at a shelter.  I couldn't walk out without two. 

I have a little girl, Bella, a pretty tabby, and Amani, a boy.  My first boy.  Amani is orange with tufts in his ears and longer fur.  I think he might have a touch of Maine Coon in him, but they were both from a shelter.  They are both 3 1/2 but are not related. 

This seems like a nice site with a lot of information.  It will just take me a while to figure it all out.

I'm sorry you have lost your cats But Kudos for rescuing more from an uncertain fate. This site is a true amazing community, and I spend hours a day on here. It's addictive and crazy, but we are all just a bunch of awesome cat lovers, I think you will fit right in.

Would love to see pics of your babies!!

Aww!  I still miss my furbabies that I've lost years and years ago.  They find a special place in our hearts!

Welcome to the site!   I think the new cats will help you to heal.   They can't ever take the place of cats that have passed on but just think of the wonderful thing you did by saving two more

We never forget our Rainbow Angels --- I have 3 of them at Rainbow Bridge, but we now have 3 thoroughly spoiled kitties in our house.   The biggest tribute to having loved a cat is to save a life and provide a loving home for another one.
