Cat Not Eating...Frustrating...

Simon eats 3/4 of his dry food (1/2 cup) served in the morning, but he barely touches what I give him (dry or canned) when I get home from work. He wants to eat the kitten's dry food--same brand as his but the kitten formula (she's fed in another room). He'll even eat the soft food put down for her--the same food he won't touch in his eating area.

Is this a slight jealousy/ territorial issue? I'm both frustrated with and worried about him not eating enough.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Jenk

I don't remember how old Simon is, but there is nothing wrong with mixing a little kitten food with his normal food to tempt him to eat more. My older cats raid the kitten kibble all the time.

Simon turned 1-year-old on Aug. 1st. I was concerned that kitten kibble would make him sick, but I'm willing to mix some (maybe go 1/2 and 1/2) kitten dry formula into his.

Thanks, Hissy.
