Ok so my cat Missy (originally a stray) Has had 4 or 5 kittens (havent been able to see properly just yet)
I wish to get her desexed as soon as i have the money for it. She has been living here for while now and has grown very attached to my older male cat Bubba. They are an item lol and are alllllways together.

This is her second time getting pregnant by him! thing is though, the last liter didnt go so very well.. She had just two kittens and one was quite smaller then the other. She had them behind my garage but then after couple of weeks, she decided to move them god knows where..
Im not sure what happened to those poor kittens but we think they have died :( Either another cat or something ate them or the mother did OR what we think might of happened is, she full abandoned them. Either way, i was not able to find them and look after them till they were ready to go to good homes. They were gone before i could snatch them and take them in.

She just now had kittens again only this time outside under my window in a warm cozy bed ive put out there for her. Which i am very surprised to see because normally she is a veryyy shy scared cat and is only affectionate when on heat or round my cat Bubba.
Im glad though that this time she and the babies are out of the cold and wet and somewhere safe and warm. But for how long?

I mean how long till she tries to move them again somewhere... Im hoping she doesnt this time because there is too many to move this time =/
Im hoping that she will feel much safer and comfortable with her and the kittens being inside her little warm bed under the bbq with a table cloth draped over them so that they are hidden and bit of privacy also.

See, i think what made her move last time was the fact that there were 5 people that kept checking up on her and the kittens every day or so. And thats what probably made her feel uncomfortable and not safe. (no privacy?)
I cant blame her.. But i just feel real horrible for her two that she had last time.. Let us hope that does not happen again!

Sooo i need advices! On what to do and how to make sure she doesnt run off with them again. As i said before, where she is now is pretty good and in good reach but also enough privacy so that no one will know shes there with them. They are well hidden and in a nice warm dry place.

I just hope that my family doesnt hear them one day and decide to look under the bbq! other wise, we are in big trouble!
Also, before any of you suggest that i take her in to my house with them... yeahhh there is no chance of doing that because unfortunately she is very protective and would not allow me or anyone near her or the kittens (i know from the last experience) Also because she would go absolutely mental and freak if she were brought into the house (also another experience) oh and she is not toilet trained, she would need to go toilet outside and if i were to let her out, she would definitely not come back in.

Im really sorry bout the huge essay but i got nowhere else to turn and to ask for advice lol..
Your time and replies are greatly appreciated!!

Thank you, one very confused girl haha.

About your family.  I suspect it is better to tell them "there is a mom and kittens in our backyard, and I demand of you you are NOT searching nor looking.  I will get you some pictures if you behave. But dont stress her. Remember what happened last time".

Next, about taking her in.   It IS possible for you?   She is now in this cat igloo, whatever, right?

So you can take in the whole igloo, with them inside, and carry into your home.  Lay something over the opening before you carry them.  Well inside, you let them into their room, with litter  (common clay litter, perhaps with some leaves and dirt (earth) in), water, food etc...  Preferably use her normal utensils you use for her outside.

Put down the igloo, open up a little, leave.   Let her be there several hours till she calms down   If you have a Feliway diffuser let it go on.  (Perhaps some classical harp music - Im not sure, perhaps too early).

This should work. Unless she is so stressed he manhauls her children, it should go pretty well.

We had here a similiar case with an astonishing twist!

As they were carrying in the whole nest, they didnt closed the door properly, and the mom managed to rush out.  They were left with 5 adorable, but totally helpless infants...

But in 15 minutes, the mom did come back! Sneaked in, and sneaked rushing through the whole house till she found her children.  There she lay down with them, purring as highly as she could. ...(purring here was not only pleasure, but prob also to calm herself).

Yes it ended well, both with the heroine - mom and her children.   :)

Try this, please.

And please do spay both her and this chivalerous Bubba.  It is true, if you REALLY want to have kittens, it is better to have a kind stud, good both for the female and the psyche of the kittens.

But if you arent REALLY in for new litters, best to neuter when you can.   :)

Good luck!    *vibes*

I answered you in the Pregnant and Kittens forum.

Probably this thread belongs here, I think I shall ask a mod to move my answer (and take away the duplicate question)

Make sure she gets as little disturbance as possible.  Cats will move their kittens if distrubed.  And get Buba neutered ASAP, before he can get any more females pregnant.  Visit once a day to feed her, and leave biscuits and water down all the time.  And make sure you get her neutered as well, once the kittens are weaned.  Even if Buba is neutered, she will find another male when she is calling.

I merged the two threads to keep the replies all in the same place, and deleted the duplicate posts.

Please do get both of the cats fixed..... I know you mentioned money issues. It takes much more money to have to keep caring for litter of kittens. If you call a TNR organization - they will advise you and assist you. Please do not let your female have any more kittens. I would tell you family about the kittens. They must be cared for and will need to be socialized as soon as you are able to start petting them - do so. Start making calls now for a rescue to take the kittens as well. Other wise you have a feral colony in the making :(. Much luck with this and I would inform you family and start making calls to shelter's, rescues, TNR orgs. and get the ball rolling for a place for these kittens to go to once they are weaned. I would spend as much time as you can sitting outside near the kittens - everyday - until mom will let you start petting them. This is very important so they become socialized to being touched and handled by humans. :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:

Wait, ARE they inside already?  Did you brough them in?  After my advice or before?

EDIT.  sorry, taking a second glance when I had better time, I see they are still outside, in their cosy shelter.

The OP hasn't said anything about her situation since the first post...

Nay, I saw the picture, and being in a hurry I got impression they were inside. But now at second glance I see them nicely sheltered - outside.

But yes, we do see the igloo I was talking about.

Just to carry the whole igloo with contents in.  Having of course gloves and thick jacket on, preferably also protective glasses.
