I think I may have finally joined the boys in cuckoo land lol
first Mod's please don't move this post it's just a silly thing I was thinking about last night it's just meant as general chit chat

Ok I was going to get a drink this morning woke up thirsty on my way to the kitchen I saw BooBoo aka Boots curled up on the lounge as norm so I stopped and gave him a love and was scratching under his chin which he love's ( Now here come's the Meowmee's lost it bit lol ) I got my drink went back to bed and was thinking have I ever known a kitty that did not love a chin scratch ( just what you should be thinking about at 5 am lol ) so I was thinking about all the kittys I have loved and know over the years and I honestly could not think of 1 kitty that did not go gooey over a chin rub so my questions are

1) Do your kittys like a good chin rub ?

2) How many of you have been kept awake at night with stupid stuff like this in your head ?

3) Is there a reason they like it so much ?

And before anyone else says it yes 1 flew over the cuckoo's nest that's me lol

Not sure WHY they like it, but both of my babies can't get enough of the chin rub.

No, I have never laid awake at night thinking of why my cats do something- I have laid awake plenty when one has been sick or hurt, or just needed meowmy.

One of my cats doesn't like chin rubs. He adores all other forms of petting, including and especially belly rubs and even toe massages where I grab one of his paws and work his toes around with my thumb. He actually likes it when I pull out his claws to look at them, loves cheek rubs, ear scratches, full-back scratches, and back leg scratches, but chin rubs are the one thing he doesn't like. Sometimes he doesn't move away when I rub his chin, but he stares blankly at me, and it's clear he's not getting any enjoyment out of it at all.

Yup, Angel loves them too. Something else he LOVES his whiskers scratched, or you know, right where his whiskers come out on each side of the nose. He is so funny though, it feels so good, he is tilting his head back &/ or moving it ("I call it the Stevie Wonder") so I have to hold it still while I scratch him there. He also loves to rub that area across the brush when I'm brushing him. As soon as I get a card for my phone, so I can download videos, I have a funny one of him (just yesterday) holding onto a branch just above him with his paws & taking turns rubbing each side of his face. He just cracks me up. I tell him he's a silly boy!

Wow, yes, Tails is an orange and white tabby.

Tails also hates water, and in fact the only time he's clawed me is when I carried him to the already-filled bath when he got dirty as a kitten. He likes to sit next to water and dip his paws in, but he acts like water turns to acid the second it touches him, and he frantically waves his arm around to get the water off.

It sounds like my Tails has a lot in common with how your JJ used to act; they're even the same colors.
