My dad had been a fear of cats because his only cat he ever had hissed at him and scarred him I guess emotionally. I was scared of dogs for many reasons. Dogs have chased me as small as chihuahuas. The first dog I had was jealous of me and had bit me badly several times and slept on the table and killed my pet rat at the time. He was always a dog person. And I was a cat person. I never actually was a cat until October of 2010. I actually started being interest 2 years ago ----well about the October before last. My dad and I went to the pound to get a dog he was crazy about this bull doglike pit bull who seemed extremely sweet and everything. At the shelter at the front they had a kitten quite similar to my kitten now. Well her ears eye color and coat looked similar. I begged my dad to get that kitten. But unfortunately, he couldn't the dog he was getting didn't like cats... Well things fell through with that dog he turned out aggressive. My dad was devastated and wouldn't get another dog for a while. That summer a friend of the family's cat got pregnant unexpectedly. She sold all kittens accept one. Then a year later on that days the anniversary he lost his dog he got a Lhasa Apso mix same age he'd have been but something fell through he came too late to adopt Baby and he almost gave up when the shelter closed and he had to go without the dog. He said he wouldn't come back the shelter was way out of the way. But with supportive words he came back the next day when we arrived it was pretty rash but he said if I wanted a kitten that I could get it... I saw many but it seemed nothing worked out the older ones didn't like dad and time was running out my dad had to go and again I lost my chance to get a kitten. That day my dad had a subsequent conversation about the whole thing and came to a conclusion to get me a kitten for my birthday.. Well as an early b-day present. That next morning I got a little black cat with adorable huge innocent green eyes. I automatically fell in love with this furbaby. The rest is history. It took forever though for the both of us to get over our fears over dogs and cats. He finally didn't have as much of a fear over cats at least for that moment. And I had been able to see a dog without being chased or frightened.To get what we wanted we had to get over our fears...
Well that's my story of how I became an owner here are some photos of Kittie. She's 6 months next week 6 lbs. She's a black cat not sure what her pedigree is if it is one her mom wasn't a dmh or dsh neither am I asking for opinions. But no known facts about the dad... She is my princess and mostly a lap-cat and of course an indoor cat...Oh and everyone's from So Cal.
