What a classic!

My cat is a Turkish Van, their breed is said to love water. I am here to verify my kitten loves water! when you take showers he jumps right in!

Simba prefers showers. Has to have one in the morning and in the evening. He's an indoor only cat but apparently he thinks he has places to be. So not only do I have to get myself ready for work in the AM, but I have to shower, blow dry & brush Simba before I leave in the morning and before I go to bed at night.

So you're Simba's personal hairdresser!

Thank you! He is a doll and a fluff who's full of verve & vinegar! Not only am I his hairdresser, but he thinks his dad is his personal chauffeur. He meows for him to bend down so he can hop on his back and go for a ride. He keeps us young!

Do you use conditioner to keep Simba's hair and skin from drying out after all those baths?

I don't have a pic of them in the bath itself.  I go into the bath with them and the water level is just below their back.

That way they are calm and happy.

But I have pics of them drying themselves on the sun.

I wash them with Golden Products LDC after having tried all sorts of cat-shampoos.

LDC (Light Duty Cleaner) is made from biodegradable natural products, it is safe even if they swallow it, it helps against fleas and ticks.

My kitties LOVE it.  Their skin and fur is very clean, silky and conditioned at the same time after they dried themselves.  I use it myself too for body and hair for years.

I use TropiClean. It's all natural and safe. I don't shampoo Simba every time he wants to take a shower...maybe 1-2x a month I'll get in with him and wash him. I posted a video of his "play time" on youtube that I thought I'd share. I love Kiki Bear's reaction to her weird brother in the shower. She's new to the family and not quite versed on his antics yet.

Oh my goodness, look at that cute face!     He is having fun playing in that shower!

I loved the video.  Simba truly does like water, doesn't he?  My cats don't mind baths, but they'd never get in the shower.  They do, however, sit and wait outside the shower until I am done.  If I am taking too long, then Eric will pat the door three times, telling me to hurry up.

I don't know if it was my computer, but there was an echo in the audio.

The look on Kiki Bear's face when you asked her if she wanted to join her brother -- "Who, me?  Uh, no." -- was funny!

That's so funny that Eric pats at the door. If I see Angel hanging around the door while I'm in the shower,I will open the door half way & he will stand up w/ his front paws on the tub looking in. He just looks at me like "what are you doing in there?" I say, "you com'n in?" & he's like, "no way, I'm outa here!"
