Home made cat treats

Thread Starter

I looked through some old posts but I don't want to use corn products.  Anyone make treats with success and would like to share a recipe?

You can try this recipe for home made Freeze Dry Chicken clap.gifclap.gifclap.gif

Open Freezer Method

1 - Boil fresh chicken in a pot on the stove for about 45 minutes, without spices or oils.
2 - Cut the chicken into small strips and pieces when it is completely cool.
3- Place the chicken on a cooling or mesh rack and put it inside the freezer to dry for five to seven days. You can use a baking sheet, but the moisture may not leave as quickly or effectively.

I have seen in another raw forum that people make freeze dry liver all the time, but they skip the cooking part - they rinse the raw liver, slice it thinly, and go straight to step 3. Kitties and dogs LOVE-IT biggrin.gif
Not sure how that might work with cooked liver.... but since it works with chicken..... might work with liver too! agree.gif
