I moved this weekend: just down the hallway.

The kids are adjusting nicely. Saturday the twins didn't know what to think. Abby was out exploring, but the twins stayed in the bathroom and were sleeping in the cat carriers (with the doors open). Later in the evening they ventured out to explore, and then I put the carriers away.

Katie only likes cuddles on her terms, which isn't often. She is one to brush up against your leg and let you quickly pet her as she's moving along. But since I moved, she' on me like velcro! LOL  She stands up and puts her little paws on my lap and meows for me to pick her up and she cuddles under my chin.

It's just too sweet!!! I hope she stays social. I usually feel like I'm neglecting her because both Abby and Spencer like to cuddle, and all Katie does is want to play, so she is left on her own quite a bit to amuse herself.

Thanks :)

Still have a long way to go to be settled in. Boxes and stuff everywhere, and I can't unpack anything until after they fumigate the new apartment on Friday. I used a garment steamer on my wooden furniture before putting it into the bedroom. After that I can start unpacking.

Right now I'm just moving stuff I know I won't be unpacking into the spare bedroom, and trying to clear out the boxes from the kitchen so I can cook. Plus I have to find the boxes with my cupboard food and pots.

I do think she likes this place, and so does Spencer. Whenever I go past the spare room, one or both are laying on the dryer or cat tree looking out the window. I had a river view in the old apartment, and this one has a front view over looking the street and park.  Lots for them to see outside it seems. They especially like to watch the kids skating.

Aww, that's so sweet! You know, Genever wasn't a lap cat until BF and I went to England 9 months after we adopted her, and when we picked her up from her Uncle Scott's house where she was staying, he told us she was on his lap a whole lot. I couldn't believe it, I was jealous! We never got lap time! But when we got her home, she decided our laps were good too, and she's been a lap cat ever since. Strange how they can all of a sudden change their habits, but it's great when it's for the better! I hope Katie keeps up the cuddles!

She's still initiating cuddles! It's too cute when she stands up with her front paws on my leg and does her soft little mewww    And she purrs up a storm when I pick her up. She tucks her face into mine or under my chin and just purrs and drools.  It's sweet because when I pick up Abby, she does the same thing.....right to the drooling part!  LOL

Spencer is the only one who doesn't drool.  He's a big boy and likes to be held on his back in my arms like you would hold a human baby. Not easy to do considering his size. There is all kinds of "spillage" hehe
