im a college stundent in south carolina and i am renting a house. i am currently feeding several strays and a couple feral cats. no one around here seems to care about animals let alone stray ones. i am very concerned about what i should do when i graduate and leave my house. more than likely the people that live here after me are not going to like strays coming around the house and im scared of what they will do. so my question is what should i do? i cant not feed them and i dont want them to starve or be hurt when i leave, please help me!

I found the text in this book spot on, but the illustrations aren't helpful at all. Good over all book

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

This scoop was a freebie with some clumping litter I bought last year, and I like it so much that I've bought a second one. It's perfect for fine clumping litter, which it sifts very thoroughly....

Hi and welcome to our Forums and TCS site!
How good you are caring!
Are you sure all the strays are homeless? If you think someone of them is astray - try to seek after the owner...
Are all neutered / spayed? This is the first to do to make the situation more stabile.
If not - please plan on doing so...
Next can be, these friendly, you work on socializing and seeking adoptions homes...
These feral for real will probably make it themselves, in the worst case, as they did before you began to help them. Dont leave them in the middle of a cold winter. If you leave them in hte warm half of the year, they will find some other source of food. The surviving ferales are the smart ones - otherwise they arent surviving ferales. :(
Is there some rescue group in your neigbourhood? The probable there is. Contact them, share ideas.

Welcome to TCS...... I feel your worry and concern for these cats. Could you try to contact a local rescue in your area - near the college and explain how you have been caring for these stray cats. They really need to be trapped and spayed/neutered as well. OR google TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) for the county in which the college is located. Some of these organizations will come out and set traps and help to relocate the cats to another feral colony that is already being managed and the cats are being cared for. It is so important that they get sterilized - so there will be no more breeding. I will say a pray that someone will step forward and assist with these homeless kitties. My heart breaks for them too.
BUT somehow they managed before you came along and they will somehow manage after you have gone. It is a shame that no one is supporting you on campus.... What about asking the R.A. for some suggestions as to how to get these cats support after you leave
.... I guess - just keep trying to find someone to step in when you have to leave....... Much, much, much luck

For the kitties
