Victory after almost 5 years!

Thread Starter

After almost 5 years of running and hiding Tilly (my little white feral kitty) has decided that DH isn't so bad after all laughing02.gif

He was overjoyed this morning because apparently while i was asleep she was laying on top of me and he got the chance to PET HER for a few minutes before I moved and scared her off. Over the course of the last few months he has been making an effort to feed her and he often will share his dinner (only when he eats chicken or ham) with her and since she has found a new spot in the living room on the bookcase he spends part of his night blowing kisses at her and telling her how pretty she is. (Our friend who is allergic to cats will take medication before he comes over so he can try and pet the pretty white kitty she hasn't let him yet but he too was overjoyed when he was able to give her a treat without her running out of the room)

My friend wants to know how DH got her to be comfortable enough to let him pet her.

Now i think her change of heart is because overall she has gotten less scared and has to do with the food DH has been giving her. He feels its because of all the kind words and the air kisses. (Yes i had two grown men blowing kisses and saying sweet words to my cat last night. I should have tape it it was so sweet)

What do you think? smile.gif

Oh, how wonderful!! I think it's probably both things. And I think your DH is making such a concerted effort, it's bound to have an effect. agree.gif

And, "Awwwww" to these two men in your life who are working so hard at this. biggthumpup.gif
