I have a friend who is very sick and no longer able to take care of her cats. I would love to help her out by taking them in, but it is not possible (due to the cost). She has been through a lot and is no longer able to take care of them. She also had 2 fire belly toads that I am taking because she can no longer clean the aquarium that they are in. She is an amazing person who has always rescued animals, and fell in love and kept a lot of them. She had 5 dogs, a parrot, 2 toads and about 6 cats and has had to re-home most of her pets.

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what she could do to find a good home for her cats, or if anyone here would consider taking them (I know that is a long shot). She lives close to London, Ontario. She has asked everyone she knows, and she has put an ad online with no luck. I have met her cats and they are great cats.

Here is her ad. http://london.kijiji.ca/c-pets-cats...int-Siamese-NEED-YOUR-HELP-W0QQAdIdZ351508527

Making ads,  you Catlover dont forget to mention they are used to dogs and other cats.

Make ads also at horse forums.  horse people are often dog owners, and do like animals.

(No im not meaning as stable cats, indoor home cats with these horse owners).

Are they pure bred?   One reason more horse people may want to have them as their home cats.

Contact also the rings/clubs of the breeds in question. They usually have a section for adult cats seeking new home.

Contact perhaps also the breeders (= first owner) of her cats.   Reputable breeders are usually trying to help their "grandchildren" even many years after selling them. If the breeder is cold, try higher up the ladder. Owner of the stud, owner of grandma, etc...  Owners of siblings...

I hope your friend is religious. Her body and life here is going downhill, but her sould has enormous amounts of good "Karma".

I m sending lotsa vibes for you all!    *vibes*

I read what you friend wrote about her two cats, Odin and Solstice :rub: They are absolutely beautiful and I wish I could help in some way. Will pass on this link to whomever I can think of. I think contacting every local vet and posting this story with their pictures - might bring someone with a big heart forward to give these cats a good, loving home. Try to contact some breeders - or Siamese rescue groups too. I am SO sorry for you friend's diagnosis - my heart goes out to her. I can't imagine how utterly painful this is to her ON TOP of her diagnosis. :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:

I'm going to send you a PM, I live in the area and while I can't take them myself (there is a 2 cat per person per dwelling limit, I live alone and already have a cat), I know of some rescues that might be willing to take them.
