Can anyone help, i have a 2 year old female cat which is very affectionate and wont leave my side. came back from a friends house which has kittens, as i walked through my front door she started hissing at me screaming and attacked me very bad on my hand and legs she was going frantic jumping at me this is the second time she's done this and i really dont know what to do, she is an house cat and i also have a male cat he get's really frightened when she does this and goes and hides for couple hours, they have both been nutered and spayed.  Can anyone  suggest anything i can do as she is such a loving and friendly cat.

My Paige doesn't like kittens either.  Luckily they don't live with you so she doesn't have to put up with them 24/7!  Cats are territorial by nature.  She sees it as you being unfaithful for lack of a better word... You're a cheater- haha.  She is letting you know it's not cool with her.  She'll blow off her steam and get over it.  There really isn't much you can do for these little outbursts, just maybe wash the "kittens" off your hands before you pet her perhaps?

You could get her the Calming Collar or Feliway but since they are not something she is exposed to all the time, this is not a big deal and you just need to realize she's the jealous type and not to have kitten smell on you when you walk through her door.
