Moving adjustment

Thread Starter

So we moved, got settled in and unpacked- brought the babies over (literally around the corner)

So they are having trouble.

They keep trying to escape and go to the old house, They have been suceeding everytinme the door opens they dart out and go to the other door and meow and cry

They cry all night (I assume because of new surroundings)

They seem to be avoiding their food & water

Is this all normal? How long do they need to get settled and adjusted? Anything I can do to help ease them?

Perhaps you should introduce them to the new house slowly like when you bring a new cat into your home from the shelter.

Start them in one room like the bathroom or your bedroom and once they seem relaxed - eating, drinking, using the litter box - let them explore the rest of the house.
